As a large and popular bakery, I expected more from Kelly's. Despite seating dozens of people in clean, bright surroundings (including spacious bathrooms), the range and quality of food was limited to what you would expect from any cheap suburban take-away bakery. After offering to ''heat up'' my quiche, I was disappointed to find that they had microwaved it until the pastry was the same texture as the filling. Even for those eating in, sauce must be purchased in squeeze packets, and you have to request it. I won't recommend against Kelly's, but don't expect great things just because they have bathrooms. Next time, I think we'll stop at a KFC for lunch.
Without doubt the most unpleasant experience in a rural cafe ...huge place, tables dirty, staff (except for one girl) slatternly in manner, rude and off hand. We had toasted ham and cheese sandwiches. Dreadful presentation and cold. Why can't the numerous members of staff clear the tables? Barn of a place with the atmosphere of a morgue. Never again!
