I don't know what requirements you ask of people working in your shop but the lady working there this afternoon was extremely rude to my father when he simply asked why the surcharge was $15 for credit and not $10 like everyone else. If he was aggressive and got angry then I fully accept the response that the lady gave but to look down on us and assume that we are stupid - that's not a way I would treat a customer, being in retail myself, no matter what questions they throw at me. I don't know how you do your job but you just lost a whole bunch of your customers.
