Khyber Pass Pakistani Restaurant

Couples aren't welcome at this restaurant. Called in at 6.30pm for early dinner and told we are full and we should have rung first. I apologised that I hadn't made a booking. I was then told we don't take bookings for 2 people only groups. If we ring they can tell us if they are busy but you still can't book for 2.

Beingnthe first time there and it will be th last we noticed it looked shabby and outside there were heaps of weeds in the garden beds, generally the place is not well cared for.

They did us a favour as we went to Handi Indian Restuarnt on Boronia Road Vermont - great food and welcoming hospitality unlike the Khyber Pass which is probaly aptly named.

We went last night sun 19/6/11 for the first time and certainly not the last, food fantastic, service fantastic, ambiance fantastic, very friendly proprietor (Jeff) we will be back, had been recommended by a friend to go.

note, they open at 6 not 5 until late.

The best curries in the region by a mile! If you're a curry fan, you won't find better, especially the lamb!! Try the soup and the entres, great value and fabulous service. Lovely inside and never too noisy.

This is a great restaurant with the best pakistani/indian food you'll ever have! Service is great! My favourite restaurant!
