Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Case Management. Brisbane based mobile service. Providing home and community based physiotherapy services to children and adolescents.Kids First Rehabilitation ensures children come first in their rehabilitation journey and are given the support they need to achieve their goals.
Kids First Rehabilitation provides a mobile paediatric physiotherapy and case management service to children (0-18yrs) who have physical challenges as a result of the following;
- acquired brain injury
- spinal cord injury
- musculoskeletal and/or orthopaedic injury
- other acquired conditions (oncology, orthopaedic, neurological or neurosurgical)
- congenital conditions responsive to a physical rehabilitation and/or neurodevelopmental approach.
Children and adolescents are assessed in their own environment and given programmes that are relevant, and can be incorporated in to their daily routine at home, at school or in the community. Programmes are set around goals identified by the child/adolescent and family/carers with optimal support provided in the form of education and resources. The ultimate aim is maximum participation in the home and school environment with an ongoing involvement in leisure and community based activities.
