King Ludwigs German Restaurant

My family and I have been visiting King Ludwig’s German Restaurant, Maleny for a number of years.

So shame on me for not providing feedback on the enjoyment of eating there time after time.

I visited for the first time last week on a rainy day, having heard only good things about the place. The service was great and food was delicious. I really enjoyed the wine I was served. I might go again just for the wine, the apple strudel and the view.

Great meal, start from entree, main course, drinks plus dessert. Great atmosphere and superb service...I have to come back this Beer Degastation and Christmas in July...and I will!

If i could give this 10 stars i would!! Barbara always welcomes her patrons with open arms and it's like walking into her home, warm and inviting. The staff are always attentive and very knowledgable on the huge variety of beers on offer as well as the dishes on the menu.
The meals are always amazing - large portion sizes. We are yet to try everything on the menu - working on it though! I can definitely recommend the potato soup!

The interior is cozy and like walking into a log cabin in Germany while the outdoor dining area offers some beautiful views of the Glasshouse Mountains.

I cannot rate this restaurant highly enough. Barbara, Klaus and the staff should be commended on an amazing restaurant tha we will continue to visit time and time again!

As locals, we have been coming to King Ludwig's for 7+ years. The food is always wonderful, and the service attentive and genuine. Barbara and Klaus are welcoming and genuine hosts.
