What a great hotel. So many levels of entertainment to choose from. Casual bar at the bottom, great pool table and easy dining on the upper levels, and a great roof top bar if you can walk the five flights of stairs! I had the chicken parma and is was delicious, perfectly cooked and delivered in a timely manner. Drinks are reasonably priced and the service is friendly and efficient.
A popular spot and why not? I had mainly been here for nights dancing however it is definitely worth taking a peak at their mid week meal specials and getting a group together for dinner. Head upstairs where it is much nicer and score yourself a spot on the balcony! Wednesday night is schnitzel night.
The good thing about this place is its an old-reliable and has something foreveryone. Each floor has a different interior style and plays different music so if you go in a big group everyone can always find something to suit their taste. If you are lucky enough to snag a table outside the Kings Cross Hotel is a fabulous people watching location. I have been quite a few times to sit with a drink and watch the world go by below the big coca cola sign. Their food is good for bar food and pretty adventurous. If this place survives the lock-out it will remain a staple. BUT beware of the rooftop, to get up there you have to climb a million stairs.
Well, all I can say about this place is that it sort of takes after its namesake. Okay, there are a lot worse pubs down Darlinghurst Road, but it does tend to draw the type of people that seem to find themselves down here – namely backpackers. It certainly isn't one of those pubs that I go out of my way to visit, but then again I generally try to avoid this part of Sydney as much as possible. It still is a fairly popular place and you will find the crowds descending on the place on a Friday and Saturday night (and it certainly gets really, really packed). There are a couple of levels to it as well, with a balcony over looking that famous Coca Cola sign. Still, it isn't one of those places that I would regularly visit (or return to in a hurry).
