Koko Black
A chocolate experience like no other.
Take tea upstairs in comfy, stuffed leather couches and try to resist the delicately made Belgian chocolates at this gorgeous cafe (left) in the Royal Arcade. Watch vats of melted chocolate being poured into tiny moulds and rounded off with a dexterous twist by Koko Black's master chocolate chefs while you savour every sip of your decadent hot chocolate. And if your chocolate resistance is low, ask for the special wooden box where you can choose just one of your favourites.
I'd ignored this shop for quite some time before today as I figured it would be out of my price range. But today being international chocolate day (!!) I dropped in.
Pleasantly surprised to find some reasonably priced options. Not cheap, but bouquet items like lovely little chocolate teddies which make a cute tasty addition to a gift. Other items were premier price but looked pretty smashing.
Tried their almonds with a dark chocolate outer sprinkling & surprised after biting in to them at the strength of flavour.
Won't be a daily routine but I'll be back!
Stuck on any gift ideas? Koko Black make really good gifts if you want that something extra special in the way of chocolate! Their chocolate is delectable. The packaging/gift boxes are nicely made, so no gift wrapping needed either! Is a little on the pricey side but you pay for quality and deliciousness :)
I'm not crazy for dark chocolate as I prefer milk chocolate but I do love chocolate and orange together. Popped into Koko Black again the other week and came across orange and almond with dark chocolate and felt I wanted to give it a try - amazing. I am already thinking of it as a good gift to give some 'healthy' friends!
