A new chef has taken over and needless to say I will not be running back here in a hurry.
Whilst the menu looked decadent and amazing only one meal out of 3 was edible and for some reason they have dropped some wines from the bar selection and I actually took my first glass back for a refund as whatever it was (a house reisling) tasted like something resembling petrol!
Dad had bangers and mash, ate his mash and left all but one bite of the sausages. He said they were tough and tasted cheap, the worst sausages he had ever had. I ordered a chicken pesto risotto and was disappointed that there was hardly any pesto flavour, then disgusted that I found crunchy bits of uncooked rice in my dish!
Im not a qualified chef but even I can cook a risotto completely, you don't send out a risotto with crunchy rice.
Mum had a pepper steak which she said was fine....so 1 out of 3 at least.
Went here with my partner one night after great reccomendations from my parents.
First walked inside and began to doubt if I even had the right place as the bistro, albeit big was very plain looking and quite empty.
Sat down anyway and was delightfully surprised when a waitress was immediately by our side with menus and placed a scented candle on our table.
The menu wasn't overly large but just big enough to incorporate all sorts of dishes to sort any sort of taste. I ordered a medley of seafood in a creamy garlic sauce on rice with salad and my partner went for a mushroom porterhouse steak with veges and mash.
