Kopitiam Cafe
Kopitiam Cafe is named after the coffee shops found along the sidewalks of Malaysia that specialise in not only coffee, but the delicious food of the country. The Malaysian choices range from the favourite Chow Kway Teow, fish ball noodle soup to Beef Rendeng with rice. The menu is wide and also offers a range of other cuisines from around Asia, such as Mongolian Lamb, squid cooked in Szechuan style and seasonal vegetables and stir-fries. The restaurant is open everyday with lunch closing at 3pm and reopening for dinner at 6pm. Takeaway is available and the restaurant accepts BYO.

Good authentic malaysian flavours and though the place looks very casual and simple, the food is exceptional.
Had a fried noodle (wat tan hor) which is a pan fried rice noodle covered in delicious egg gravy made with seafood and chicken. It is one $11.50 and it is good. Asked for some green chilli and you have a memorable meal.
The staff are helpful and the food is served quickly.
Come here for a casual lunch with friends.
Moving on from my quest to finding the best chicken rice in town and to seeking the most authentic and delicious nasi lemak in Sydney, I found myself revisiting Kopitiam, one of my favourite go-to restaurants for Malaysian cuisines.
We came on a Saturday afternoon and it was unsurprisingly quite, although there were several guests attending the restaurant. The parking outside was also a little easier to find when compared to Sundays.
The nasi lemak was $10, and is only available with chicken curry meat. The dish came quite quickly as I expected. The coconut rice had an authentic flavour and was just perfect in fragrant not too overwhelming. The chicken curry was soft, but it wasn't that awesome theres something about the chicken that didn't feel that proper. However, I totally loved the traditional chilli sauce that was served on the side it was delicious and the spice level is just right for most people.
Kopi Tiam has always been one of my go-to places for authentic Malaysian cuisine. In a glance, the place might not look the part, but once youve tasted any of their food offerings you can convince yourself that their dishes are delicious, generously sized and are appropriately priced.
One thing about Kopi Tiam that most people might not have known is that they have special chicken rice dish available only on Sundays. I can hardly miss this dish: the chicken has been fully deboned, served in perfect temperature, plated on a bed of sweet soya sauce and comes with flavoured chicken rice on a separate plate. To top up the experience, get yourself that famous Teh Tarik (milk tea) drink that can be served either hot or cold according to your liking.
Be sure to check their opening times as they do open and close at odd hours and days.
It's very decieving! Doesn't look like the most amazing restaurant from the outside but on the inside you'll find an excellent restaurant! The food is outstanding and is guaranteed it's within everyone's budget. I can't wait to come back to this great little place again.
Good malaysian food is hard to find- but Kopitiam gives you a fix of spice at reasonable prices. Nasi Lemak (coconut rice, curry and condiments), Char Kway teow (fried noodles) and curry laksa are personal favourites here. In particular the curry laksa is pretty unique- with a thicker curry sauce rather than a soup- topped with large chunks of succulent chicken. They also sell sweet drinks like Chendol and ice kacang which are difficult to find in other restaurants.
With a very casual setting you can enjoy a nice unpretentious lunch with friends and colleagues.
