Krakatoa Cafe

I really enjoyed my Asian inspired breakfast. The fact that they do an all day breakfast is a massive win. The coffee was really well done and the service was fast and friendly.

Great litle spot for traditional Asian-style breakfast or lunch. Food is great value and you are sure to encounter things you haven't tried before. Be adventurous! At these prices you can't really go wrong!

I have held off on reviewing this cafe as I am selfish and did not want others to share in this hidden gem. Im still selfish, but now I'm moving so i can happily declare it as the best value breakfast and lunch in South Yarra. The Rendang is incredible and for only $8 it is lunch perfection. Freshly squeezed juices are priced like they are juice ($3-4), rather than the usual rip-off $7 gourmet drink that so many cafes try and pass them off as.
The decor and service are "casual" but very friendly and meals come quickly. Frankly this place is the best thing to come out of Indonesia in years (Jessica Mauboy included).

I can't fault Krakatoa. I have been enjoying there value for money and great breakfast for years. They are always friendly.
