Well this is a good place for a quick pit stop en route to the airport, its near the domestic airport. If i was young and thin, I would eat more of these, but as I'm not, then ONE is the limit... though I always buy a sneaky few for my children. The toilets are clean and I actually really like the retro, 1950s American diner vibe that is here. Staff are always nice, so there's much to recommend.
With it impossible to stop at the Domestic Airport for very long, if you're early to meet someone and you want to avoid the exhorbitant parking fees, this carpark is the place to sink an average coffee, and eat a doughnut. While I have fond memories of the just baked light being on at their original Penrith store, I've never managed to catch it on here, so the doughnuts have never been as good.
Waiting at the airport I decided I needed a snack for the plane ride. This outlet is at the terminal where Virgin Australia and Jetstar depart from. They had some summer specials with pineapple or mango in them but neither one interested me so went with one of my favs of Apple Custard Crumble Doughtnut. Had a quick bite of it before the plane ride as needed something sweet! Service is lovely here too.
Having not visited this store for quite some time, I decided to catch-up with my favourite donut store and see if things have changed since the last time I was here.
I can really say that the service has improved. The staffs are friendlier and far more efficient; you can see them very focused to the task at hand. The donuts, on the other hand, are not as awesome as I would like it to be as they have gotten quite cold after having been on the display for quite some time, which could only mean that it is not as soft.
In regards to the store, they still havent done anything in regards to the oil smell that sticks with you as soon as you get in, so this store is not a place I would like to go to if I need to make good impression afterwards. Luckily they have drive-thru (which by the way opens 24 7).
