Good to see that K Tec still offer great service with very reasonable prices. Just got myself another Porsche and would not take my car anywhere else!! These guys are always ready to help answer any of my questions and they know what they are talking about! Would recommend them to any porsche owner.

i sent my 928s porsche in to remove and replace the gearbox ( gearbox in rear) in april this year, in august it was sent around to another machanic (friends of jaromes) ozyy park autos, when the gearbox was replaced i went up to pick up the car, there was a hole the size of your fist in the bellhousing behind the motor, wires ripped out and engine wouldnt go at all.

turns out they had wound the motor backwards using a pinch bar on the ring gear which disloged the cam chain tensioner shoes, that went into the gear broke cam chain, bent valves, and damaged two pistons, ( left something in the hole )
they even wrecked the battery by not disconnecting it and/or putting it on trickle charge for 3 months while it was sitting out the front. youd have to be a fool to send any car to k tec, sweet talkers for sure.

I took my porsche to these guys to have an engine diagnostic test. They only charge $50 to hook it up to their computer and explain the results. Their analyses was spot on. They told me to start by replacing number 5 and 6 coils. The young staff member I dealt with impressed me with his knowledge of late model porsche engines. I have decided to give the porsche dealer in Nedlands the flick and will service my car through Ktec in future.
