Kum Den Bar And Restaurant

Very good service, delicious food. Went twice in these past few months with different group of family for dinner and lunch. Ordered different mains to share both times. Dinner time was busy but service is still excellent and food came out fast. Lunch was not as busy when we were there but got busier. There was no pressure from the staff at all like some other restaurants when they got busy. Will definitely be back.

Excellent yum cha. Perfect for the weekend. We take the kids here often and it's always a fun experience.

In a seedy alley you'll find this restaurant. From the outside, it just looks like a restaurant that you'll just pass by and never consider, but once you step inside, it's completely different. The outside appearance does not give this restaurant justice.

But enough about the appearance, the actual food is very tasty (although oily). I had the XO fried rice with duck and it sure was spicy but full of flavour and it was under $10 for a lunch special. I would happily come back just to eat the same dish again but would love to try other dishes as the XO fried rice was amazing.

Only downfall was they were under staff during lunch and I couldn't even get service to get water as they were that busy.

I could say Kum Den was one of the good Chinese restaurant in the city. but note the word 'was'. It used to be nice, but...

The food at Kum Den is delicious, I would recommend dining here if you are a fan of Chinese food. The serving sizes are very generous, and the prices are well worth paying.
