Kurrawa Surf Club

The new venue is airy and cool, the food good and the beer reasonably priced. All up not bad at all. My only complaint would be regarding a few of the female staff members, with one in particular. When she arrived at our table with our meals I smiled and said "thank you". She just looked at me with indifference, didn't offer a reply and then just walked away. Not a biggie I suppose but in comparison nearby there was a male staff member who genuinely seemed to enjoy interacting with the customers and when he checked up on us later he was polite, friendly and efficient. Nice chap. There didn't seem to be much middle ground with the staff; they were either very nice and helpful, or otherwise disinterested and, to be honest, a touch smarmy.

Fantastic view and great menu, not mich parking so make sure to put money in a meter if street parking!!

Great food! Come here on a weekend arvo with the kids and enjoy a beer or two with some great surf club food!

I'm not sure what all the hype is over Kurrawa Surf Club. I've eaten there about three times & each time I've left thinking it was overpriced & the food average.
Tonight I ordered the chicken schnitzel with chips & salad. It was really big but so dry & overcooked.
My hubby ordered the rump, med-rare & it came out barely cooked.
My son ate a fair bit of his spaghetti & meatballs, but my daughter barely touched the spaghetti & schnitzel (weird kids meal combo anyway!?)
I must say though that the staff have always been friendly & helpful. And the views are nice during the day & at sunset.
Just not in a hurry to go back tho.
