Lovely small Cafe in the back alleys of Haymarket. The space is small, can only seat about 15-20 people tops! So be sure to come outside of peak times. They unfortunately don't open Sundays :( I went on a Saturday and luckily arrived just as someone left. People behind us had to wait a while. I ordered the wagyu croissant, it was delicious but would have preferred more wagyu. The mee goreng bowls are also all delish! They are probably most famous for their interesting drinks, which to me were cool to play with but way to artificial to drink. I do want to try the coffee in cones but feel I will just spill it all over myself.

KUSUKA is a wonderful instagram food p**n heaven that does things with noodles only gods have known about before now. They are bowls of wonderful soul food that I could live off. The venue is let down however by its location and the fact it is smaller than a Tardis without being bigger on the inside! I still highly recommend visiting and look forward to returning myself.

Fairly new hidden gem Cafe with lovely decor and ambience. It’s not your ordinary Indonesian food. It’s better. The dishes have additional touch of western influence and all beautifully plated. They are also famous for their mesmerising drink i.e Genesis. Wow. It is mesmerising to see this drink appears like galaxy after you shake it. Some of the dishes and drink I love: coffeevocado, caesar martabak, superstar, hangry bowl and three little. And their sambal is amazing. Makes everything better.

Kusuka has setup their cafe in a lane in Chinatown, and we love cafes that utilise these spaces to create a little laneway culture that Sydney really needs. Their menu combines the flavours of Indonesia and fuses it with contemporary cafe fare that we are used to. If you do visit, there's no going past their mi-goreng dishes. Our favourites included the Mee Pork which features pork belly and a spicy chilli paste. So hot and so good. Double chicken was also outstanding with skewers of chicken satay combined with fried chicken in a bowl filled with mee. Kusuka do a range of beverages which are unique. Hypovocado and Pink Latte were quite special! It's great to see a new cafe offering that brings a little bit of Indonesia to Sydney.

Spice up your appetite with one of the hottest cafes in town with some of the hottest dishes. The cafe is a hidden gem in the back lanes at Ultimo and it has very limited seating so either get there early or expect that you’ll be waiting a while. Despite it’s small setting, their menu is extensive and it’ll have your taste buds droooooling - no joke.

Twirl into their must-order migoreng dishes - two words - the superbowl. Continue stuffing your face with double portion of extremely flavoursome migoreng noodles, perfectly complimented with succulent pork belly sausage, corned egg, and add an extra fried egg. Your palate will detect heavenly goodness with every bite.
