Only Eat Happy MeatKyeema Springs Beef is located on the picturesque Fleurieu Peninsula in the southeast of South Australia. Our pure-blood Black Angus cattle graze the rolling hills of the 300 acre property, and are not given hormonal growth stimulants or antibiotics. We have 80 breeders that are joined in July/August for calving in late Summer to provide top quality beef available to you from November to January. The cattle are fed hay and silage that is grown at Kyeema Springs farm for the smallest carbon footprint possible. With no feed lots, our calves are grass and milk fed only which is not only more environmentally friendly, but also provides a higher quality healthier meat.
Our produce has very low food miles as the cattle are sent to our local butcher under 30 minutes away, ensuring that stress on the animal is minimised. Not only is this the most humane option available, but it also guarantees a higher quality product. During processing, the meat is hung for two full weeks which further optimises flavour and tenderness.
