Routleys is my favourite cafe in Ascot Vale. The staff are always warm, friendly, helpful and approachable. The sweets and the savoury dishes are delectable. There are plenty of vegetarian options to also choose from. The cappuccinos are really good. Several copies of the daily Herald Sun are available to read whilst sipping coffee etc.

This bakery needs an overhaul, cakes were average and coffee was luke warm. New owners so perhaps they'll give it a shake up.
