La Cafe On Nelson

This is a busy Israeli/Mediterranean-style place tucked away in a side street off Carlisle Street. Staff is friendly and helpful and seemed very keen to please. Plenty of healthy menu options also draws in the health-conscious crowd. The kebabs are yummy and the breakfast choices are very nice too. Salads are very nice. Portions are reasonable.

It is rare nowadays to find a caf that serves a generous amount for your breakfast dishes! This is where 'La Cafe on Nelson' stands as an exception. Their 'Turkish Avocado', consisting of freshly cut avocado and tomato pieces on Turkish bread was so generous in serving that I was unable to finish it. I had to explain to their super friendly staff that it was nothing to do with their food, but my appetite! The staff here are genuinely friendly and attentive - something that I am finding rarer in caf nowadays, sadly.
