La La Land
La La Land has been a Chapel Street favourite for casual, comfortable drinks for years. There is nothing fancy about the dimly lit den with its old, mis-matched couches and small bar, but it oozes a trendy charm that is much loved by the locals. Quality spirits, beers and wine add to the fun, to be enjoyed until the early hours of the morning.
I really wasn't all that impressed with this place namely because there was nothing that set it apart from all the other bars that line Chapel Street, and that is basically what this place is a bar. I didn't mind it and it wasn't all that crowded, but with the competition from all the other bars on Chapel Street there wasn't all that much that would draw me back here, especially since I have already found some of my favourites. The service was okay, and it does seem to attract its regulars, and you definitely can get a seat here, but with all the other offerings about the place it is not a bar that I would regularly come back to for a drink. Well, to be fair, it does have some decent discounts during happy hour, and there seems to be an awful lot of red about the places, but that really only gives it a couple of more points.
