La Renaissance Cafe Patisserie

Founded in 1974 by Patissier and Cuisinier Pierre Charkos and his wife Sally, La Renaissance Patisserie originally operated out of a small shopfront in East Roseville. An incredible reputation for creating exquisite French food, cakes and pastries soon saw La Renaissance Patisserie and Caf© open at the Rocks in 1992. This local landmark brings you the finest French cakes, pastries and macarons.

What a landmark store. One of the best French pastry shops in Sydney. The macaroons are some of the best I've had anywhere. Sometimes there is a line out the door for cakes and takeaway because this place is just simply delicious.

It's all about their fruit jubes for me. They're glistening in shades of orange, pink, purple and red, dusted with sugar. When you bite into them, fruit bursts over your tongue and your head is filled with memories of the perfect pear, or raspberry. I love them.

Oh my.. missus loves this outlet, been coming here 'gain n 'gain with takeaways to boot. This was my 1st as i dont go chasing sweety pies (no sweet tooth in me).

Tranche au choco w/grand marnier 3.5/5
Goya (raspberry mousse passionfruit almond nougat w/ almond base 3/5
Pistachio roulade 3.75/5, my personal fav. Properly french pastry, good balance between crunch and flake, buttery goodness with just the right sweetness to go with a macchiato.

One of the best patisseries/bakeries in Sydney! It's a small shop front but the variety sweet treats on offer are huge and delicious! Definitely worth the visit just to buy a few pastries to enjoy either in-store or even to take home.

First place that comes in mind when I want desserts or some macaroons when at work. Their Opera Cake is amazing as are the macaroons. It's my go to place when buying something small as a surprise treat for my husband.
