I found LAC very poor. They had an excellent example of my issue on their website. The advice seemed reasonable at the time. Turns out they had no idea and avoided all my follow up phone calls. Use someone else

I am quite disgusted. Contract was going to take 1-2 hours to look over and was due two weeks ago, still no sign of it. Office was very unprofessional, receptionist is in jandals, invoicing system was ancient, lawyer was unfriendly, just trying to get me out of there. Would never go back.

I contacted this firm after receiving a contract for a job offer. The contract was really standard but was for a senior management role, so wanted to get a legal opinion on a few restraint of trade restrictions. I was asked to send the document ahead of the initial consultation, and was advised the minimum fee would be $375 which is equivalent to a 1 hour consultation. The consultation was done in 10 minutes, and I found out absolutely nothing further than what I'd already deduced via my own Google research. I also sent an email with a question regarding giving notice to my current employer and was advised there would be a charge for the time to respond which I said I was fine with ($150). At the consultation they charged $700 from my credit card to ensure there was enough money available. I assumed this cost was the combination of the 1 hour consultation and the email.
