The Laird was the first bar/pub I went to in Melbourne. Friday and Saturday nights are the best although their first-Monday-of-the-month party is fun and summer Sunday afternoons are great. Friendly staff, friendly people, it's a great place to meet down-to-earth guys and much less pretentious than other venues.
Great venue. Open until 1am, or 3am on Fri-Sat. Great crowd. Men only. Good drink prices. Regular special events include underwear party, leather night, bear night and trivia night. Free peanuts! Attracts a more masculine crowd than other venues. Beer garden is great in the summer time and on a sunny Sunday afternoon.
