One of the top places for Yum Cha in Brisbane. Landmark is a favourite amongst locals as they serve a smorgasbord of Chinese cuisine in the traditional style with stainless steal trollies. It's been said that their roast crispy skin duck is a highlight!
Dropped in for some brunch yum cha this morning and I was quite impressed. I hate to admit but I have never been to yum cha before so I can't compare to others but I couldn't believe how busy it was for 11am sat morning. Brunch was in full swing! The dishes were all very tasty and fresh, not much explanation so we didn't always know what we had when ordering from the dim sum bar. Only let down was lack of access to sauces. We were given one tiny dish of soy and siracha for a table of 5 and when we asked for more they brought just one more tiny plate. Interesting dining experience with carts of food brought to you and very reasonable.
Near the Sunnybank Plaza Cinemas n Foodcourt.
For lunchtime yumcha - arrive around 11am- 11.30am I avoid any possible crowds/queues and get fresh, hot yum-cha! To best enjoy eating, sharing the food in groups is the way to go - you can have a bit of this and a bit of that...prawn dumplings, other dumpling flavours, deep-fried crab, sticky rice, steam pork bun, veges...
You can also walk over to the food counter near the front to pick n choose dishes there and to specifically order dishes. Take your table bill with you so the servers can stamp your orders.
On weekends, the crowds add to the atmosphere. If you really hungry, go early. Or chase the food trolleys, again with your table bill.
All in all, sit back and enjoy! (Diff types of chinese tea all have good benefits)
