Perfect place for a short break during the school holidays. Far enough from home but not too far to travel. We based ourselves here so we could take the whole family into the city easily by public transport. It was so different to be staying in a National Park that is so close to everything. Did the whole tourist thing (even though I have lived near Sydney my entire life). Went by ferry & saw the baby elephant at the zoo, so cute! We have a campervan that we don't use very often but we found the park and the staff were the best we had ever experienced. Very professionally run. And it was inexpensive too. The kids (being under eleven) didn't cost anything. Where else can you go where the kids stay free? One night we all went on one of the wildlife tours that the park runs. The kids loved it! And us. Bandicoots, possums, owls, kookaburras sleeping in the trees.... Magic. I can see us going back again and I'll be suggesting to my friends that they try it out as well. Highly ...read more
Reckon this is a great place to take the kids camping. Nice and close if I forget something or if there is an emergency.
The grounds are wonderful, big trees with open grassy areas for the kids.
It was good to show the kids a bit of outdoor living and the toilets and showers were great.
The camp kitchens were also one of the highlights.
Very peaceful and relaxing. Great staff,they really care about their customers.
