I needed to get a Stat Declaration witnessed and signed. I went into Lanyon Post Office because it was close and asked if I could get one done. I had to wait 5 minutes for someone to do it and that was fine HOWEVER at no time during that 5 minutes was I at all told that there was a $4.95 charge! Once the Stat Dec was signed and stamped the staff behind the counter, turns to me, with a smile and says "$4.95 plz" ... WTF?! The staff then proceeds on with deceptive smile and says " oh I should have told you before we started, it's a charge from head office" ... Well it's not about Head Office and the charge involved, it's about your deceptiveness, it's about NOT acknowledging the $4.95 charge because had I had known before hand I would have went to the Police Station or a Pharmacy to get it witnessed and signed for free!! From now on even if it's only a 60c stamp I need to buy, I'll be driving to Tuggers!!
