Lara Hotel

Nope, they have gone down hill. Service was slow, albeit polite. Tobasco is unavailable, unusual for a hotel. Coffee was very average instant. Once was enough.

food is expensive even by melbourne prices tomato and bacon soup we had on sunday was inedible unfortunately lara hotel has no competition so can get away with this kind of service

Its come a LONG way. Food is fantastic. My wife had the chicken mignon and i had the salmon, and we were rather impressed. The wait really wasn't anywhere near as bad as some of the reviews below suggested it would be, and the portions are absolutely huge, even if the food is a little expensive. you really do get your money's worth. Staff were great; very friendly and happy to help. Playroom is full of little arcade games and a playroom, so the kids loved it. I highly recommend the lara pub to anyone looking to go out and have a good meal.
