By recommendation I went here to get an eyebrow wax and tint. The usual lady wasn’t in. They told me I could see another beautician that was replacing her.
After being burnt and not listened to, she passed me the mirror to see my eyebrow. One was a very thin straight line and the other a jagged mess. I was appalled and so upset. I only asked for a little regrown to be taken from under each end and specified for her not to touch in between or above the brows. This was a n extremely unpleasant experience for which I still had to pay full price and then pay again to get them fixed up at another salon. Never go here for your eyebrows... I feel like they just sent someone off the street as my beautician.
I "treat" myself to a pedi and occasionally a manicure too around every five weeks always finish up l'amour Stockland as there is no where else to go in Balgowlah. I would never visit the "spa" on a Saturday as it's manic at best. I made an appointment yesterday as it was a Sunday I thought it would be quieter sadly not! After choosing my nail enamel I was told to sit (climb over all the equipment ) in to a chair and wait while the footbath was filled with boiling hot water fortunately I tested first and some cold water was turned on I had to remind the lass that the water was about to overflow, a very lazy pedicure followed, when the polish was about to be applied I asked if I could put my thongs on first to avoid smudging the polish later. This was met with petulance and much bad temper as it involved fitting the thongs on my feet first (extra work), I insisted and won the round. I had a mani and pedi done here last week, on a Sunday. The service was TERRIBLE! The salon was packed (only because it was the only one open in the area) and yet the staff did not turn anyone away. Consequently, my manicurist who might have been the supervisor, had one eye on the door to organise customers coming in the whole time she was pretending to do my pedi. No cuticle softener, rough filing of nails and that was about it for the treatment. I had to ask to have my dry skin removed, upon which she huffed off to the back room to get the equipment. Only one coat of polish applied. The she tried to paint my fingernails while I was trying to hold my injured arm in the air. Again, I had to ask to be moved to the mani station. A VERY rough job, I will never go back there again. Save your money and go somewhere where they value customers!
Worst service. I know it's Christmas time but I have never been treated like cattle quite like here. First they filled up my foot bath, left me there while the water was running and it over flowed. Then someone else scrubbed my feet, then left and I had to wait again, someone else painted my toes, then disappeared. Then I was taken to a table to get my nails done, but was left there for another 20 mins before yet another person did my nails. All in all a waste of two hours for a pedi and mani, to have one of my shellac nails peel off two days later. I returned to have it repaired, to be treated once more like cattle, telling me that I should of paid more last time I was there. Awful. Left there feeling distressed and upset. Never will I go back.
