Le Pub Balmain
Located in the heart of Balmain, Le Pub Balmain integrates a main bar, function rooms and a courtyard area, with tab and bottle shop facilities and an extensive and varied bistro menu. Le Pub Balmain combines the elements of sophistication, relaxation and contemporary decor, and is open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner. Prices for main meals start at $12 from the bar and $17 from the Cicheti restaurant, which is downstairs from the bar. A Tapas menu is available from $6 per dish, as well as cheeses starting from $8 per 100g.

I'm a fan of Le Pub Balmain (now the Cricketers Arms, previously Monkey Bar)! I was stuck up at Balmain a couple of weeks ago due to torrential rain, so settled into the cricketers for beer and burger. Beef burger was great, and the new fit out of the place pretty welcoming. I'll be back.
More of a bar then a pub, so it's kind of unique for Balmain in that sense. Would very rarely go there except the upstairs section is perfect to watch boxing (and they screen most of them). You can also hire this room out for functions, it comes complete with bar and sound system. Main downside is the almost vase like glasses they use instead of schooners.
