Lee's Fortuna Court has been operating for a long time, and it is loved by many people who don't live anywhere near here. There is no outlook, it's on busy Falcon St ( parking easier on a side street ) but the food makes up for the lack of an outlook. All of your Chinese favourites, and so nice to see Lazy Susans, that's how I judge a Chinese restaurant. The family that run it are warm and friendly and understand the importance of family. Great for parties/groups of all ages, never been disappointed so it's good to know it's still here despite the change that this precinct is undergoing.
My partner and i have been coming her for years. I am a lover of chinese food and without doubt this restaurant is the best. From the entrees (Lamb pancakes / chicken rice paper roll) through to Mongolian Lamb / Shung-tun chicken and other delicious items - the food is outstanding.
And what is more incredible is the paramount service of all the staff.
You would be foolish not to go.
I first discovered this place in 2003. It is my favourite restaurant in Sydney. The wall at the counter is covered in awards, and rightly so. I have not eaten better Chinese food anywhere in Australia.
Service is usually pretty good. One time i went and they overheard my family say it was my birthday-they brought out a cake and a samurai sword to cut it with. Totally unexpected!
The lamb pancakes, salt and pepper prawns and mongolian lamb are something i'd recommend.
I absolutely loved the lamb pancakes I had as an entree at this restaurant, however I was quite disappointed in my main meal. I decided to try the lemon chicken, and found that the chicken was dry and tough, and the sauce was thin and watery. My dining companion had the Mongolian lamb and was very impressed. The service was great, the wait staff were extremely friendly.
