Help For Foot ProblemsPodiatrist Jeremy Lefort has a particular interest in treating chronic foot, ankle pain and lower leg pain, a common complaint among all age groups and activity levels.
He says whilst prescription insoles (orthotics) are frequently used with success, often the pain may be associated with more complex undiagnosed muscle and joint dysfunction.
Mr Lefort, who has degrees in podiatry and nursing, has learned new techniques and refined his skills in treating foot problems. "I offer further more specialised treatments including joint mobilisation and manipulation and the use of acupuncture needles into painful muscles (dry needling) to augment the orthotics and achieve more rapid resolution of the symptoms,"Mr Lefort said. Dry needling is used to treat trigger points while joint mobilsation and gentle manipulation helps the joints move without restriction.
Mr Lefort also treats general skin and nail complaints, manages the feet of those with diabetes and other chronic conditions as well as assesses and manages children with walking problems such as toe walking and painful paediatric conditions. Ingrown nails, a painful problem frequently requiring surgery to remove a section of nail, is done at the clinic under local anaesthetic.
Consultations are available Monday and Wednesday 9am to 6.30pm:Friday until 5pm: from 9am to 1pm and 1.30pm to 5.30pm on alternate Tuesdays

Hi Gordon. Sorry to hear of your negative experience. I do note that you had a follow up review booked 3 weeks after you were fitted with your orthotics that, according to our records, you cancelled. The reason for the review appointment is to address any issues regarding your orthotics after a period of time of you wearing them, given that it can sometimes take 2 to 3 weeks for your body to adjust to the changes. You are most welcome to contact our clinic and follow up on the review appointment so that we can address your issues and make adjustments and recommendations as needed. Kind Regards, Jeremy
very happy with the treatment. Have had several years of chronic heel pain that did not improve with other treatments. Jeremy did 6 treatments of dry needling (using acupuncture needles) that reduced the pain by 80% and with new orthotics and a further 2 treatments the pain has resolved.
