I have been here for drinks, and during a weeknight, and all occasions have been great, but Wow! Probably the best eggs benedict that I have had in Melbourne. You need to come down and try their breakfast either during the week or weekend, you will not be disappointed. Located on trendy South Bank Promenade the Left Bank Restaurant ticks all the boxes. Five star service, awesome location, great coffee and absolutely fabulous food.
Left Bank is probably best known as a bar for it's Saturday night and Friday night drinks with the work and partying crowd respectively rather than their food. They have various spaces for private functions and also bar space as well. So pretty much something for everyone. I came here for some Sunday afternoon drinks for a friends birthday and verymuch like the outdoor area overlooking the Yarra rivver. The snackes we picked up were what you'd expect for a place like this, they were well presented and in particular, I enjoyed the eggplant chips. The place could probably do with some outdoor fans for warmer days. Overall, this place is decent.
This is one of my favourites in Melbourne. I always try to pop by here and enjoy a G&T or wine with friends. Also had the flash fried calamari for a snack recently, which was just enough to hit the spot. It's fantastic to sit outside under the heaters and watch the world go by. Definitely recommend.
A great place for drinks, a very sophisticated crowd can be found here for after work drinks. If only they had happy hour on Fridays it'll be perfect. They have happy hour on every other day though. But even without happy hour, this place fills out nicely and I always leave here having a good time.
