I've been riding a scooter for over 6 years ( my previous scooters were from Scooter central which used to be alot better). I'd been thinking about getting a motorcycle but thought it'd be too difficult.
I thought I'd try lets scooter to service my scooter as I hadn't been happy with Scooter central's servicing. Last time I had it serviced, two days later the battery died and one thing after another....
I highly recommend IIja as she is an enthusiastic listener, doesn't try to sell you things you don't need and is very knowledgeable about scooters and motorcycles.
I also recommend that *everyone* take some lessons as she is a rare teacher who can teach anyone how to ride!

I love making people's dreams come true and when someone tells me - I've tried before and I just can't ride."I'm uncoordinated, too short, too scared, I take that as a challenge and would love to prove them wrong. Just because you love the look or image of a bike, doesn't mean it is the right one for you, certainly not to start with. Want to be a confident rider then listen to people who know what they are talking about when it comes to buying your first bike.
Just wanted to provide an update on my P's test. I passed 1st time round with no points accumulated at all ! Whew... what a relief !
But I must attribute my great success to llja. Having done the P training with llja a week before the P's test, I must say the knowledge from the training really made a difference. Head checks, where to look, body positioning, the slow riding techniques... absolutely fantastic. Thanks llja, you are awesome !

Got my L's a few weeks ago but felt I needed some more lessons. Found Ilja through a internet search (after dealing with bad customer service from other lesson providers). Just had my two hour lesson and I have gone from being very nervous to a more confident rider - I still have a way to go and will definitely have more lessons with Ilja. She was personable, encouraging, patient, caring, professional with a great focus on road safety. Ilja even gave me a safety theory lesson when we finished the ride, refreshing my knowledge on road positioning. Thanks Ilja, you have made my scooter experience and first road ride wonderful.

I got my L's with my boyfriend and we bought our first bike together from Ilja at Let's Scooter. I was a little nervous about riding in the traffic and although my boyfriend said he had no concerns, when I found out that Ilja offers a service where she will ride home with you through different traffic/road scenarios, I jumped at it. Going above and beyond what was required of her, Ilja lent a bike to my boyfriend too so that we could have this experience together. By the time we got home I was so much more confident with myself and the bike that I was keen to jump straight back on! I was also confident that my boyfriend would come home alive every time he went for a ride, and I believe he was too!
There is a lot of false bravado with new riders, who forget that when they learned how to drive, they had someone knowledgeable sitting right next to them teaching them not only how to drive but also about road safety. Riding is different to driving. There are different hazards to take into account. We believe that road safety training post the RMS Learner course should be compulsory and are pleased you and your boyfriend gained valuable knowledge to keep you both safe and riding for many years to come. Had my L's for awhile now and wanted to get my P's. Obviously the usual approach was to go out there after spending some time in the circuit passing my L's is to get a bike and hit the road with all the Ute, Trailers, SUVs out there... We definitely understand how daunting that first road ride is and what is needed to get you road confident, so you can ride safely on your own. In a car you have support while on your L's, on a bike you are on your own - which is why the Bike Induction and Escort Ride Home training we offer is such an important training session for all new riders to experience.....and how awesome is the Daelim S1!
