Leuralla Toy and Railway Museum
An art deco mansion now home to a wonderful collection of antique toys and model trains.
The collection includes tin toys, dolls, teddy bears and a huge range of Barbie dolls. There's also an extensive collection of model trains, cars, boats, aeroplanes and trucks which are joined by model figurines.
After studying the toys head outside for a relaxing stroll in the gardens of Leuralla.
This lovely art deco-style mansion was built just prior to World War I. But for years now, its decadent maple panelling has housed paintings, antique toys,
model aeroplanes, books and glass cases full of Barbie dolls. Outside, an impressive collection of clockwork, electric, steam and model trains are kept in a restored cottage built to look like a station. A $2 coin gets the trains chuffing around the tracks to the delight of little ones. ...read more

This is more a vintage toy collection than a toy museum. Located in an old family home where everything is in original condition and some rooms are roped off and kept in exact condition as homage to the family (can be rather creepy). Random toys scattered throughout with no cohesion, no explanation, no order. Lots of N*zi items there too. Expensive cost - $15 for museum and garden or $10 to garden only. And you have to pay $2 to get the model trains to move and it's not even that impressive. This place is not really for kids, more for adults and for that sense of nostalgia. Not worth it. Oh and the owners made sure my 2 year old did not touch the glass windows by giving us a stern warning that if she leaned on the glass they would know where she was as it has an alarm on it. I was so paranoid every time she went near the glass cabinets as I wasnt sure how sensitive they were.
