NEVER CALLING LIME TAXIS AGAIN!!
My partner and I called Lime Taxis before we traveled they quoted us $25 plus airport charges etc from the Sydney Domestic Airport to Sydney CBD.
We didn't confirm the booking as planes can be delayed and we weren't in any hurry... once we landed we then rang Lime Taxis and while still on the phone confirming the booking we headed to the Domestic pick up area... it took NO longer than 5 minutes to walk to the pick up zone!! we waited 1 hour and watched 4 Lime taxis go past us with un-booked pick ups from outside the terminal. We then rang Lime Taxis and they told us the driver logged us as a no show, so they said another taxis was on its way... another hour later and 3 more Lime Taxis passing by we called again the lady told us she could prioritize our pick up.
We caught the next train to the CBD $34 for 2 adult it was smooth fast and comfortable (the ticketing system has eftpos/visa).
I wish I had read the review below before booking with Lime. We booked a maxi taxi with a child seat for our overseas visitors to get to the airport. They actually showed up, but they were 15 minutes late. Then the driver proceeded to argue with us about the need for the child seat. Told me the child was big enough to sit in the car without one and it was their discretion. My visitors at this point are all standing in the rain watching the driver make life as difficult as possible. Thanks Lime. My friends had had a wonderful time in Sydney until you got involved. I won't ever use Lime again. And if you want to tell them anything, pretty much you have to call. There are no contact details on their website. Great customer service - not!
They get half a star because the fleet is in good condition.
I required a taxi with a baby seat to go to the airport, so I booked over a day in advance. The booking was taken, no arguments...they just didn't show up and didn't bother to call to say they didn't have a cab to send. So we were waiting outside our house in the rain with a one year old when they were due to arrive. Ten minutes later, when they hadn't appeared, we called to make sure the driver was on his way. They told us they didn't currently have a free driver, so we asked when we could expect him to arrive and were told they didn't know & couldn't guarantee that a cab would come at all. After almost an hours wait at Sydney International Airport - I called LimeTaxis, only to be told that they did not do pick ups from the airport. Why was I allowed to prebook online? I asked the person on the other end. I was told they were not sure, and they'd let their supervisor know of the concern and that waiting for almost an hour was truly unacceptable. Yes, I agreed - it was. I went on to tell them I'd been travelling for over 24hours and that they should probably send over a taxi right away. After a series of "ums", "ahs" and "likes" I was told they'd refer my case to their supervisor. Was I picked up? No. A truly disappointing service.
