This is a beautiful winery set in Red Hill, Mornington, a 1 hours drive from Melbourne. They have a casual caf with wood fired pizza and a beautiful restaurant with a fantastic window view overlooking the winery. We had the 4 course tasting menu and were extremely impressed with the quality of the food and the cheese platter in particular. Perfect place for a weekend escape.
My wife wanted a bigger bed and the manager found us a lovely room which had an open fire..great room! My deal included a bottle wine and afternoon tea...the wine was expensive and lovely...what a nice suprise! Open fireplaces in all the lounges thru this wonderful site. Resturant is yummy and breakfast is a huge feast. Walk thru lovely vineyards. Just one negative. Some room furniture is plane. The place is fantastic and very relaxing. Stayed twice and will again.
set amongst beautiful, picturesque grounds covering gardens & vineyards, lindenderry is aesthetically amazing. unfortunately the service wasn't up to par. We had booked for a midday lunch. wine tastings were meant to be open from 11:30 so we got there at 11:50 thinking we'd try a few wines before settling down to lunch. When we arrived the restaurant wasn't ready & the wine tasting hadn't started. We got shuffled aside to a waiting room for 30 mins or so while they got organised. There was a wedding there, so I'd hope this wasn't a regular occurrence, but then again, I'd think they'd do a few weddings, so diners beware, wedding may equal re-allocated resources & poor service. Despite all this we were happy to wait, as i mentioned at the start the grounds were amazing. Once in the restaurant, the service was impeccable.
