Lipson Cafe

Very disappointed with this Cafe.

Beware of the freshness of the food here. I ordered coffee and cake and the carrot cake as ordered was stale with the exposed surfaces being dry like biscuit. I asked the wait staff how long it had been in the display fridge, last week staff said. I said I am not happy with it I said so staff whisked it away and refunded the $6. Staff manner was abrupt and not as I had expected. My brother was against going there as he had a similar experience and said the the staff are not very friendly there. The cafe looks nice my brother lives in the street but I swear I will never go back there.

Great quirky little place. Food and coffee is good but today I was most diappointed.

I placed my order for myself and a friend... my coffee came out within 10mins (a bit slow) but the other drink didn't. Another 5 mins passed and I had noticed 3 other customers had received theirs, so I politely said to the waitress "exucse me..." and she replied "yes it's coming, I've got 5 other things going". Well how rude. Now I don't think I will return. Hey if you're busy and can't cope with it, don't take it out on your customers, and maybe give the job to someone else who can handle it, or just be plain nice about it! Geez!!

Nice quiet location, excellent service, fine coffee and good food. Ideal for a lazy, sunny day

Great little place for meals, snacks, lingering.
