Lismore Lake Holiday Park

I wish Id seen these reviews before I booked. This is the worst park I have ever been to. It's not a place to stop at all . Kept up all night with shouting swearing residents knocking on cabin doors and smashing things on them. Cars roaming the site. Generally dirty and poorly kept. First time have ever actually felt unsafe

What a dump. Stayed in cabin which had musty stale smell wafting out the door, bed like a turkey nest, not clean, run down with long black hair on shower floor. Had to ask for bath mat having paid extra for linen to be told they don't provide bath mats! Shower blocked, end up standing in a swamp. Public pool at entry was empty except for an algae mosquito brreeding pond full of scum and weeds. The lake is empty of water. Roads are like goat tracks and if you are crazy enough to stay here take your valuables when you go out. Big population of permanent residents. Smoke alarm in cabin not functional, micrscopic size TV and terrible odour in the cabin the entire time. Don't stay here! Minus review

Likewise to previous poster, pool empty, cabins run down and very dirty, could not force ourselves to use fridge or cooking gear which was covered with insect faeces, the colourful residents combined with their quaint noctural habits amounted to a sleepless night spent in a shanty town!

Nothing positive to say about this park. It's VERY run down, and resident cabins aren't kept tidy. Residents do laps of the park in their cars, keeping a close eye on what you're unloading. Not a place you can safely take the family to , and be sure that your posessions will be there when you get back. Management was of a low dress standard, and a hair brush would of helped. Refused to refund our deposit, which we gave over the phone, based on the website's pics and information. The lake is full of weed and inaccessible. You'd be safer camping in a parking bay on the side of the road. Even the tourist information center advised us to go elsewhere. BE WARNED!!!!

Traveling along the highway in to lismore it was great to find this park. WE had a camper van so we asked for a powered site. It was a spacious spot and close to amenities , the wildlife and area was great and central to all the little villages like nimbin. Great value for money would defiantly go back.
