With the limited options available for a beer at Coogee, this place certainly doesn't have much in the way of competition. Okay, I'm not entirely sure if this place is a bar in the traditional sense, but it certainly has a great atmosphere about it, and they were more than happy for me to simply come in here for a beer. They also have live music, which is a bonus, as is the fact that it is just across the road from the beach. In reality, there isn't a huge number of options around the area, but even then this place is certainly top notch.
Asked for a side of chicken for my salad and they refused. So strange to not accommodate a common request like this and staff weren’t apologetic or helpful as finding another option. Won’t go back here as there was more issues with payment and again not helpful or apologetic.
Food was nice but not good enough to return in spite of the poor service.
The food is nothing short of delicious here. Really huge servings too, so if you're hungry or... hungover... but want decent food, this place is wonderful. The service lacked a bit in our experience, it was quite busy but it took them 20 minutes to grab our order, food came out quite fast though, which was great. Though some requests were missing and since it was hard to get a waiter we just dealt without. If the service got a little better they would have an amazing offering.
What used to be a corner chemist with the most beautiful, uninterrupted view of the beach across the rad is now appropriately transformed into a modern dining space called Little Jack Horner. Sporting wooden-laden furniture with leafy/fruity decor, this moderately spacious place can cater for a quite a number of customers with its different settings, from dining tables, high tables, as well as side bar tables and getting close to the beverage action. There is also a slightly open kitchen at the back, and next to it is an art piece of colorful wooden windows, peculiarly similar to one made famous in one of Bali's famous establishments.
