Lively Catch Seafood Restaurant

Went to Lively Catch last Saturday night 15/7/17 for my birthday. Got in the front door and there were spare chairs placed in the foyer and the reservation list was a page of scribble on the floor. The girl couldn't find the reservation list at first. We were told they were short staffed of about 3. The waitresses looked and sounded grumpy and we had to wait so long for our meals which were not worth the $33, mine was pork belly which consisted of about 3 strips of pork with crackle (which was nice) and about 3 large prawns on top. Was supposed to have coleslaw on the bottom but I couldn't see it and the meals weren't even hot. We were very disappointed and won't go back there.

Usually a great place to go. The seafood dishes are outstanding! My previous visits were all good. However, went there last night (Saturday) and was surprised about the lack of service quality. The place was not busy after 8.30 pm but staff was more interested in cleaning for the day then looking after guests. Had to wait more than half an hour for the main course to be served after entree was finished. No further drinks offered. Really surprised as this is our favourite seafood restaurant in the Shire. Will give it a miss for a while.

Great family place to eat with food to match the best the shire has to offer. Service is great.

I have also been coming here with my family for years. A great place for a special occasion or date the owner Irene always remembers us and is always so friendly. My favourite is the tasting plate for entree.. the items are changed on occasion so you can try different things but always so yummy and generously sized. The mains have a good selection for both seafood and non seafood lovers and dessert (if you aren't full already) is beautifully presented. Service is always excellent as well with very attentive and knowledgable staff. I cant wait to try Lively catch's sister cafe La Zona at gymea for a more casual dining experience.

Great food at a good price. Their set menu includes most of their best dishes and the dessert sampler is perfect for someone with a sweet tooth! Perfect for eating out from time to time.
