tried this cafe in school holidays. soup of day was celeriac an celery which sounded pretty bland to me, but my 2 nine year old wanted it and reported that it was great. I had eggs shasouka, my other 2 kids shared the s/avocado with p/egg, s/salmon. all meals were OK.
coffees quite good and use bonsoy. meals were quite large but probably a few dollars too expensive for quality. really dislike unhealthy, poorer quality breads that are used here such as bagels, focaccia bread, commercial pizza bases, ciabatta (all white, tasteless and not nutritional) much prefer healthy options such as sourdough so disappointed and would not return
Loco has been my favourite cafe in Elsternwick for years. Great coffee and food and very friendly service. They remembered my name and coffee for years when I worked nearby and it was my morning pit stop. Now I love to go back there for lunch when I can and its still the same friendly service.#reviewtowin
I made the trip to Loco Coffee on the back of a hunger for caffeine that needed to be sated and came across this little gem. I consider myself very lucky to stumble across it because Loco provides some of the best service I've ever seen, they are always smiling, greet you warmly as soon as you enter and will dote on you constantly during your time there! After all this I almost forgot to mention the coffee, it is fantastic, goes without saying really. The barista there is a great guy who certainly knows how to make a good coffee. If you need a coffee down in Elsternwick, honestly look no further, ever.
loco it ant, but loco good it is! i'm kinda lost on the loco reference, but that didnt stop m from having a crazy good time at this casual cafe/eatery. Strolled on in at 11:30 on a sat morning. The tables on the street were full & 90% of the cafe was full. Lucky for us there was room in the garden out back. That business speaks volumes. The coffee's came quickly & were hot & yummy! There is a vast range of food on offer, you can choose from breakfasts, salads, toasted turkish bread sandwiches, lunch & share plates. We opted for a combo breakfast (eggs, tuna salad, avocado, cream cheese)...mmmmm! & the chicken turkish sandwich with bacon. wow! tasty, sizeable, jam packed with chicken, bacon & flavour. loco tasty, loco busy, loco returnable!
