I have been using Lomax Financial Services for more than 10 years know and the service I have received from Shane and his team is nothing short of exemplary!
Shane and his team, handle my company, personal and superannuation matters and this coupled with there sound financial advise always ensures no surprises and the end of the year.
I am always very cautious when recommend people and companies, especially when it involves what can be a very complex area as tax can be, but I have over the years recommended over half a dozen companies to Lomax and all the feed back I have received from these people has been extremely positive.

I have been with Lomax Financial Group for several years and find them competent, trustworthy, professional and proactive and I enjoy the personal service I get. I always feel they are on top of the complex tax requirements of my business, as well as giving me sound advice on the rest of my financial needs such as superannuation, insurance and leasing/financing requirements. I couldn't recommend them more highly.
Overall, a very frustrating experience. Unqualified prepared my return, poor communication firm-wide, 'forgot' to include my private health insurance so I paid the medicare levy surcharge, didn't claim items I am entitled to and provided them with AND above all else VERY expensive!! H&R block do a better job faster and for half the cost. Still, if you've got complicated tax affairs I wouldn't go here either, terrible business to deal with.
What a shame - my dealings with the Lomax Group have all been positive, and it was a great relief to have multiple years tax returns sorted and lodged. They went out of their way to explain things to me in laymans terms, and certainly helped me going forward to structure my tax affairs and super (which was an added bonus!)
Perhaps your returns were prepared by a different accountant? My wife is still a client (against my own advice!) so maybe you could recommend your accountant.
