The London, is a great place to unwind after and long day at work, or relax on a sunday afternoon, for some casual drinks with mates. Located in Paddington, in the back streets, off Oxford Street. Great atmosphere and tastefully decorated, good quality of pub food.

The London is a great pub in the leafy back-streets of Paddington. Perfect for meeting a friend for dinner and a drink after work. Most nights of the week, the London is buzzing with swarms of young professionals in their 20s-30s.The downstairs area is very pub-like with bar stools and tables and sports matches frequently showing on the big screen. There is even a pokies room to the side. Out the back is a small open courtyard, near the kitchen where you can enjoy a pub meal off the blackboard menu. They do great pizza and steak at affordable prices. Upstairs has undergone a bit of a revamp, with a classy colour-scheme, antique mirrors and comfy lounge chairs. This is a great area to organise a private function such as birthday drinks or a farewell bash. The service is standard, with young friendly bar-staff pulling beers and making vodka lemon limes. A perfect Paddington pub.

The London Tavern in Chic Paddington is one of the areas best. High square four seater tables fill the front bar in an obsessive compulsive type of order with high seats surrounding them and is home to many young locals having a drink with friends. As ti is set away from Oxford Street, it is not well known to tourists and helps to give the place that local feel. Out the back you have the restaurant which has a glass roof giving you that alfresco feel without be getting wet should it be raining. The restaurant also has other seating inside if you are unable to get an outdoor seat. Upstairs is perfect for a function, with separate rooms allowing your own space of privacy. If you are there to eat, I recommend the one of the Pizzas, particularly the prawn Pizza. They are even cheaper if you get there on a Tuesday night. Have a drink here and immerse yourself in local life.
