Had a fantastic experience at Lord of the Isles.. went there for a friends bday and meals everyone was absolutely wonderful. I had the chicken parma and was one of the better parma's I have had in quiet a while. The venue had a great atmosphere and was great to stay back and have a few more drinks before hitting the hustle and bustle of the cbd.. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
BEST EYE FILLET IN TOWN! We go about once a month- and have always enjoyed our meal. Parking is great (over the road, pedestrian lights within 50m) and the staff are attentive, but not in your face- PERFECT. You do have to order drinks at the bar (weird), but the whole package makes it worth it. The portion sizes are generous- so you probably have to share or skip the desert. I guarantee you will be pleased.
I havent eaten at Lord of the Isles in a while as last time wasnt a a great experience. Unfortunatly this time wasnt great either. The wait staff always seemed busy (doing not much) so it felt like a hassel to ask them for anything. I think the food is standard fare with a very expensive price tag. I think for a function it would be ok but for a table of 4-6 we struggled to get some attention.
What a waste of time. I took my family for dinner, including 2 small children, & even though were a bit put off by the high prices, we ordered our meal. Despite the fact that there were quite a number of wait staff on the floor we had to call someone over to our table to take our order (after 30 minutes at our table with no order taken) at which time we were told by a waitress that they just had to get the table beside us cleared first. Eventually we flagged another waiter who took our order. An hour later we had still not received any food, and at this time my 3 year old & 7 month old were getting quite restless, so we asked yet another member of staff how long our meals would be only to be told that they had forgotten to put our order in. At this point we walked out! What is the use of having nice food & atmosphere if you can't get any help from the staff?!?
