Lord Wolseley Hotel
Officially known as the Narrowist pub in NSW, the Lord Wolseley Hotel is definitely one of the smallest pubs but known for its beer. This old pub has been refurbished a few years back, and the fresh pipes ensure the freshest and coolest local beers in the state. Most patrons at this pub are regulars, and are always up for a yarn. The beer here is cold and fresh and the atmosphere is relaxing and welcoming.

This is one of those nice hidden pubs that for some reason everybody seems to know about. I say that because when I came here on a Saturday afternoon I discovered that it was literally bursting at the seems with patrons. Fortunately I did manage to find myself a seat in the corner so that I could take in the rather interesting, old style décor that the place seem to have scattered across the walls. All the smokers seem to congregate out on the street around barrels where they can rest their beers, and it has a nice restaurant out the back as well. However it is the old style charm of the place (as well as a lack of VIP Lounge) that attracted me to it (though as I suggested, it is pretty popular). It's a pub that I would definitely visit again, just when it isn't as crowded.
Hang with the locals!
This place is the local waterhole for an interesting mix of people. From local corporate workers to 'interesting' local characters. It is a friendly pub, and as the description says- quite small and narrow. Hidden in the back of the pub is a pretty good thai restaurant which serves your traditional thai food such pad thai and pad see... But they also serve hearty pub favourites from chicken parma to steaks.
I wouldn't say this is a place to organise a party or social gathering- but if you are in the area and want a drink and some food in humble surroundings- this is the joint!
