Lourdes Hill College

Lourdes is a great school. It has great facilities, especially the new Bernadette Centre which has really well designed science labs and good quality practice spaces for students who study music and drama. There are great river views which can be accessed at a number of different locations throughout the campus (the boardwalk is the best option, however elevated views can be obtained from outside the Chapel and the top two levels of the Bernadette Centre). The teaching quality is of of a high standard; I found my teachers to be much better as I transitioned from the junior school into the senior school. The "purple shirts" (Yr 7 - 9) are annoying and mischievous but most of them grow out of it by the time they become a "white shirt" (Yr 10 - 12). I fear the Assistant Principal - Students is allergic to the idea of "fun" and makes a real effort to restrict any form of it wherever possible; this is my only critcism of the Staff Leadership team, which is otherwise very ...read more

Attended Lourdes Hill College for 3 years trying to escape from bullying received in primary school. Unfortunately it only got worse at LHC. I would not recommend this school to anyone.
