This bakery will surprise, spacious, clean and tidy. Most bakery’s do not have much room to dine inside but this bakery has loads of room, with good comfortable eating tables and chairs. The range of pies, bread buns and cakes, to eat in or take away is extensive. We enjoyed two very fresh tasty pies in the restaurant area. The service was excellent, will definitely return.
While in the country, one of the greatest hopes we have is to find an old-fashioned real country bakery with pastries, pies, all so many that it's hard to choose. Well, this is one of those.
A mouthwatering selection of sweet goods awaited us, with either cream, custard or no fillings but still absolutely deliciously tasty yummo. And then there was the selection of pies, pasties, sausage rolls, all with lovely flaky pastry. The coffee machine looked great too though I didn't have room for coffee with all this other lovely stuff!
Prices were actually quite reasonable especially given the scrumptiousness of their food.
Half a star off for their staff who weren't rude but really didn't follow the feel of the place - it was all about finishing a transaction and telling us not to sit inside as they were about to clean inside. Not enough to stop me going back (thinking about my next trip now!) but did take the shine off a bit.
