The artisan pizzas you’ll eat here are imperfectly perfect – complete with bubbling, chewy crusts festooned with just the right amount of char. This is fully certified (Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana) Neapolitan wood-fired pizza with minimal toppings, like Speck ($21) boasting mozzarella, Fontina and speck. All the better for showing off those flavoursome bases! Going light on the toppings enables you to appreciate the simplicity of what’s there, like paper-thin prosciutto strewn over rocket and cherry tomatoes, topped with freshly shaved Parmesan on the Filetto ($21).
The service provided was fantastic, the decor was welcoming and the food was ok. I want to point out that when one of our dishes came out slightly undercooked, the waiter acknowledged it and recitified it right away. I commend this waiter on the way he dealt with it - professional and friendly from start to finish. Food wise, the pizzas and pastas are different to what I'm used to seeing, it's pleasant to try something different.
Do you ever have one of those days that only pizza can fix? I might have them at least once a week.
Lucky me having Mr N in my life - he knows when I just need some carbs in my life (pretty much always). Sometimes we joke to each other that we would marry pizza if we could. Key word being "joke".
