Lucky Coq
Lucky Coq prides itself on our world famous $4 pizza. We have a great beer, wine, spirit and cocktail selection with products from around the globe. We have DJs from Wednesday night through to Sunday night, a movie night on Tuesday and a chilled industry night on Monday. The venue is split over two levels which during the day and is buzzing with a great atmosphere of people from all walks of life enjoying lunch in our comfortable throw back surroundings. The weekday evenings are similar although after a few of our great beers you just want to stay around and relax with a few more, and a few more, and a few more. A great venue for midweek drinks or catching up with mates. The weekend is a little more party, Friday night bringing some of Melbourne's funkiest and best nu-disco sounds and Saturdays is funky, party house!! The best way to explain is come and see for yourself.

Fantastic happy hour deals, all food except burgers and snacks is $4. That being said, the "pizzas" would be more accurately described as flatbreads. Cocktails looked good, especially with the brightly colored infused Ketel One vodka bowls featured above the bar (almost couldn't resist the blood orange). Next time...
The first thing that you need to know about this pub is that there is a sign on the door that proclaims that this pub has a dress code no suits, ties, or suit jackets. That suits me just fine (even though I do have to wear a tie to work). So, one Friday when I was wearing jeans (and no suit jacket) I decided to come here to check it out and I must say that I was really impressed especially with the truck cab that is sticking out of the wall. In fact there are lots of weird and strange things scattered about this pub that simply gives it a huge amount of character. They also have cheap meals (such as the famous $4.00 pizza) and live bands on Sunday. This is certainly one of those pubs that I can see myself coming back to again and again, unless of course I'm wearing a suit.
A lot of fun at night, this venue became a classic chapel street icon almost immediately. It's really for everyone after some late night atmosphere, cheap pizza and a dance of a weekend. It's upstairs smokers area is decorated with lanterns. A pool table amongst the mish-mash of recycled furniture (mostly couches), seems to keep patrons pretty happy. For a grunge and scruffy appearance, there's a lot to see here. Merchandise is pretty cool too.
