Lumi Bar & Dining
The Sydney Wharf precinct at Pyrmont Bay is home to Ripples on Sydney Harbour. Open in April 2009 this open air BYO restaurant commands a stunning position, perched only metres above the harbour. Leading architect Sidney Koh has designed the mostly alfresco restaurant space to compliment the wharf environment. A modern glass structure houses an open plan kitchen and a 12 metre long marble bar with stool seating. Serving modern Australian bistro fare with a French twist we open for lunch and dinner seven days a week and brunch on the weekends from 10.30am to 4.00pm.
Hidden down by wharf 10 is this brekkie beaut with fantastic views. This stylish sun trap is open every day for lunch and dinner too and the big breakfasts include mouth-watering waffles with plum compote and crème fraiche, the best eggs Benedict, Toulouse breakfast sausages and a very glamorous fruit plate. Get into the indulgent baked eggs en cocotte with bacon, spinach and parmesan as the boats bob on the water but a metre away. Sydney at its best – just don’t tell ...read more

LuMi dining has been on our hit list for a while now. Occupying a spot where all the boats moor near Star City, it has a pleasant outlook. We were there in the evening, it was dimly lit with some perfectly placed lights above our table to highlight our food. With two chefs in action that compliment each other. An Italian Chef who has trained in Japan and a Japanese chef that has trained in Italy, making for an exciting sophisticated Japanese/Italian fusion dining experience. It is a set menu of 8 meals plus snacks for $115, which I think is reasonable considering the quality and presentation of the food, which is outstanding. For an extra charge you can add oysters or matching wines. The service was impeccable, personable and informative. The restaurant is also obliging to substitute dishes due to dietary ...read more
Beautiful restaurant located on the harbour in Pyrmont. The atmosphere is relaxed and open and the waiters are very attentive. Its not a super posh place but still very slick. The presentation of the dishes was clean and nice and the flavours were beautiful and fitting. Bossman Chef Frederico is so friendly! My favourites are the Lamb - red miso - heirloom carrot - lime kosho and the Agnolotti - mushroom - parsnip.
After reading great reviews about Lumi Dining and after informing my partner this is where I wanted to celebrate my birthday dinner, my partner on a weeknight last week (on loudspeaker and infront of me) called around 7pm to make a booking for my birthday last night.
He was greeted by a female (who I believe was Isabella) then confirmed and took my partner's booking down for last night at 7pm for a nice area. She took his credit card details and informed him that no charges were to be made on the card unless we cancel within a certain period of time and informed him that the booking was made and that we would be contacted a day prior to confirm the ...read more
