I had previous reviewed Lush and had given them a poor review due to the fact I had various specks that looked like bruising after my tan, which I had never had before. I have to write another review to counter and update some new findings.
I was pleasantly surprised when I was contacted by the owner about my previous experience. She encouraged me to send photos as she wanted to figure out what went wrong. I felt like the service was good. They got to me quickly and I did not have to wait long. I also appreciated the fact I did not have to fill out a huge long form. The tanning room was clean. And over all the color was good. I went with light. I am only giving them an average and possibly poor because my tan had blotches. Some white but the ones that bothered me the most were on my arms. I have had sprays tans at other locations before I moved here. I have never had issues with dark spots on my arms looking like I have discoloration or skin blemishes. I was really unhappy with this, as it was my trial for my wedding and I don't feel comfortable going back to get another one if my arms are going to look this way in a strapless dress. It was like got splats and it was not sprayed even. Disappointing as I had high hopes based on reviews but compared to other tans I have had much better.
This was after my first experience but I have since wrote a positive review about Lush. It is important to make sure you follow their instructions for pre and post care. I exfoliated prior to my appointment the first time and I am unsure if it was an exfloiation issue or a machine/employee issue but I will say the second time around I made sure to exfoliate as they saw fit and in the way they felt was best rather then the way in which I exfoliated. They took great care had excellent service in making right something that had gone wrong. They made me feel comfortable and did not point fingers at anyone as it why it had not worked right but was open for improving and doing a better job the second time round.
They did an excellent job chosing colour both times as well.
Good service. Can be busy to get a tan on thurs nights. I still find the tans can be a bit blotchy for the first couple days on problem areas such as elbows/knees/armpits/hands and feet even with the most natural light tan..
